Visit Baltimore's New Initiative Seeks to Attract Diverse Travelers
Visit Baltimore recently launched a new diversity, equity and inclusion program aimed at making the city a more welcoming place. Warm Welcome initiative, invites local businesses, hotels, tourism attractions and others to pledge their support for creating more inclusive spaces throughout Baltimore. "We believe Baltimore can and should be a top destination for a diverse array of travelers, no matter who you are or where you come from," said Al Hutchinson, President and CEO. Participating businesses will receive the link to a training video hosted by Dr. Karsonya "Kaye" Wise Whitehead, Director of the Karson Institute for Race, Peace & Social Justice at Loyola University Maryland and receive "Warm Welcome" table tents, buttons and more to advertise their participation upon completion.
