University of Maryland School of Medicine Completed Phase One of Clinical Trial for Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine
Did you know? Greater Baltimore’s University of Maryland School of Medicine Official Page completed phase one of the clinical trial for pharmaceutical company Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate earlier this spring. Reported by WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore, the Pfizer vaccine that got its start in Baltimore has been proven to be 90% effective in early results. UMSOM will also be involved in running the phase three COVID-19 vaccine trial for biotech company Moderna, with results due later this year.
