University of Baltimore Spinout Dynamhex Raises $1.5M to Help Businesses and Communities Meet Climate Targets
University of Baltimore spinout Dynamhex, a data software company based in Baltimore City, has raised $1.5M in seed round funding. The funding includes a $250K investment from the University System of Maryland Maryland Momentum Fund which provides venture funding to companies with USM ties, and $200K from the Chesapeake Bay Seed Capital Fund. Dynamhex plans to use the funding to expand its efforts providing data on energy consumption and carbon footprint to corporate, utility and government entities. The company is currently working with the City of Baltimore and has provided data to Constellation Energy, National Resource Defense Council and Duke Energy.
