Under Armour Produces Masks to Battle COVID-19
Under Armour is using Lighthouse, the firm’s innovation hub in Baltimore City, to produce face masks to protect healthcare professionals against COVID-19. According to The Daily Record, the company plans to develop 100,000 masks a week to help supply regional healthcare institutions such as LifeBridge Health, MedStar Health, Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Maryland Medical Center. “Their willingness and ability to immediately pivot their manufacturing focus to help meet our personal protective equipment needs will save lives,” said Mohan Suntha, president and CEO of UMMS.
