UMBC Launched the Maryland Institute for Innovative Computing (MIIC)

University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) has launched the Maryland Institute for Innovative Computing (MIIC) to help state agencies address pressing challenges related to computing, analytics and workforce, with a focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science. As part of the MIIC partnership with the State of Maryland, UMBC faculty, students and staff will provide expertise on cyberattack recovery using “Computing Innovation Rapid Response Teams” to develop real-time IT and data solutions. In this innovative model, teams will include undergraduate and graduate students trained and deployed through internships and capstone courses.
