Time for EAGB Friday Fun Fact!!

Greater Baltimore is enjoying a great deal of the nation’s attention as this year’s 2021 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is from Cecil County! The stunning 79-foot Norway Spruce was cut on Nov. 11 in the town of Elkton and arrived in New York City on Nov. 13. For more than eight decades, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has stood as a holiday beacon for New Yorkers and visitors from around the world. The tradition began in 1931 when workers at the Center pooled their money to buy a Christmas tree and decorated it with handmade garlands.
