Regenerative Medicine Startup Born Out of Johns Hopkins Closes $29M Round

Baltimore-based investors Camden Partners' Nexus Management LP and the Abell Foundation joined with national investors to back Baltimore City-based biotech startup LifeSprout as they closed a $29M series A round of funding. Born out of the Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology, the biotech company that recently took space at Port Covington’s LaunchPort plans to move its first product into clinical trials. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the company's proprietary "Regenerative Matrix" platform aims to help the more than three million patients who experience soft tissue
