National Culture of Health Prize Goes to Howard County, Awards $25,000 Prize Funding to Community Ecology Institute
Congratulations are due! Howard County is one of four national winners of the prestigious 2021 National Culture of Health Prize awarded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The prize recognizes Howard County for pursuing innovative ideas and bringing partners together to rally around a shared vision of health and wellness. The $25K prize is being awarded to the Columbia-based Community Ecology Institute, a non-profit focused on tangible, community-level change at the intersection of environment, education, equity, and health. “This honor is a testament to the hard work of our team and our community in Howard County to positively impact the health and well-being of all our residents,” said Calvin Ball, County Executive and EAGB board member.
