Morgan State Receives $6.25M in Grants from Apple, Google to Enhance STEM Programs

Morgan State University (MSU) has been awarded a total of $6.25M in grants from Apple and Google to enhance equity in STEM careers and the school’s technology and engineering programs. “Google’s considerable investment in HBCUs, and in the ingenuity and promise of our students, demonstrates a recognition of the unparalleled track record HBCUs have consistently amassed in producing top talent representing American innovation, ideation and global competitiveness,” said David Wilson, President of MSU and EAGB board member. The $5M funding from Google is part of the company’s Pathways to Tech initiative and the three-year, $1.25M grant from Apple will strengthen the engineering program at MSU as part of Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice initiative.
