Miles & Stockbridge has launched the “Black Business & Start-Up Initiative” to boost black-owned businesses. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the new legal assistance program will provide $20K in legal counsel to some businesses at no cost. “This is an initiative to eliminate upfront costs, eliminate some of the barriers that these companies face so they can actually get off the runway,” said Venroy July, a principal at Miles & Stockbridge.
