Maryland Horse Industry Board Announces 2021 Grant Recipients
The Maryland Department of Agriculture's Maryland Horse Industry Board has awarded $30K in Feed Fund grants to 33 organizations and equestrian operations that represent a variety of equine groups and disciplines across the state, including Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard Counties. Horses are a critical component of Maryland’s rich agricultural industry and, since the fund was established in 2002, the board has awarded nearly $600k to over 400 projects. Agriculture is the number one employer in Maryland, with positive economic and aesthetic impacts in rural and urban environments alike.
