Maryland Commerce Receives $1.1M Federal Grant to Enhance Defense Program

The Maryland Department of Commerce in coordination with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) (MD MEP) has received a $1.1M federal grant to support the Maryland Defense Cybersecurity Assistance Program (DCAP). The funding will help Maryland defense contractors comply with federal cybersecurity standards in order to provide services to the federal government. “With an increased need for cybersecurity compliance assistance, DCAP serves as an excellent resource for our defense contractors and keeps our Maryland companies prepared to tackle new contracts and challenges along the way,” said Kelly M. Schulz, Commerce Secretary and EAGB board member. Interested companies can learn more and apply to DCAP here: https://mdmep.org/defense-cybersecurity-assistance-program/.
