Made in Baltimore Launching New Accelerator for Home-Based Businesses
Attention Baltimore City small businesses! Made In Baltimore has launched a new “Home Run” accelerator program to help home-based businesses. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the five-month program will use a virtual learning curriculum developed by small business consulting firm Twilight Quest to train cohort members on basic business operations, marketing and development. Upon finishing the program, participants will have learned how to hire employees, what to look for in a commercial lease, identifying raw material suppliers, developing plans for scaling their business into a commercial or industrial production space and much more. Between 10 and 15 companies will be accepted into the cohort and receive a minimum of $5K in funding. Applications must be submitted by midnight on April 18.
