Johns Hopkins to Study Coronavirus Treatment Using Plasma of Recovered Patients with Funding from Bloomberg, Maryland
Research out of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins Medicine has received $4M in funding for a potential treatment for COVID-19. Funding from the state of Maryland and Bloomberg Philanthropies will allow researchers to conduct tests using the blood of recovered coronavirus patients to fight the outbreak. “I am confident in our state’s ability to be a leader in developing treatments and perhaps even a vaccine for COVID-19,” said Governor Larry Hogan.
