Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Awarded $400K Grant for 2-year Cancer Project
The American Cancer Society and Pfizer have awarded $400K to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for a two-year cancer project as part of grants totaling more than $3 million in 10 communities to promote equity in cancer outcomes for Black men and women. The goal of the funding is to address systemic race-related barriers and disparities in the delivery of care. The new project expands JHU’s 2017 pilot program to identify and address challenges that disproportionately affect Black patients which was performed in collaboration with Hopkins Community Connection.
