JHU Spinoff Thrive Earlier Detection Corp. Raises $257M in Funding
Thrive Earlier Detection Corp., a JHU cancer diagnostic spinoff, has raised $257 million in new funding to advance development of CancerSEEK, a liquid biopsy test designed to detect multiple types of cancer at early stages - “...we welcome the opportunity, with these investments, to remain focused on our mission to make the earlier detection of cancer a routine part of medical care," said CEO Dave Daly. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, Thrive has grown to have over 100 employees, including 42 people based in a research and development space in Baltimore.
