Howard Community College is Applying the Apprenticeship Model to Software Development
Increasing tech talent in the Region, Howard Community College has launched a new software development apprenticeship program that allows students to earn while they learn. Participants of the two-year program take classes at Howard C.C. and learn the skills necessary to do their job with NewWave, a local IT, business services and data management company. Students will be trained on software development, computer systems engineering and data engineering. Upon completion students will receive 3,000 hrs of paid, on-the-job training, and earn at least two technical certifications for Microsoft Azure. Via Technical.ly.
