Gov. Hogan Announces $10M in Federal Funds To Protect Port of Baltimore’s Dundalk Marine Terminal

Governor Larry Hogan has announced that the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Port Administration (MDOT) will receive $10M in federal funding to protect the Helen Delich Bentley Dundalk Marine Terminal against severe weather events and climate change. As reported by citybizlist, the Port of Baltimore has been ranked as the top U.S. port for handling both cars and farm construction machinery and generates more than 15k direct jobs, with 140k overall jobs linked to Port activities. “The Port of Baltimore continues to be a major economic generator for our state, supporting thousands of jobs and breaking cargo records year after year,” said Governor Hogan.
