Four New 'Super Cranes' Arrive at The Port of Baltimore
The massive cranes have arrived, Greater Baltimore! The heavy-lift, 800-foot-long vessel “Zhen Hua 24” carried four, gigantic ship-to-shore cranes up the Chesapeake Bay to their home at The Port of Baltimore. The Neo-Panamax cranes will expand operations at the Port to handle two supersized ships at once, further enhancing efficiency at the Port’s strategic location with significant access to rail and major highways reaching one-third of the U.S. population overnight.
