Construction, Medical and IT Jobs Lead List of Top Local Growth Industries, GBC Report Says
The Greater Baltimore Committee has released a report on the Region’s top jobs in leading industries. They include information technology, construction, nursing careers and clinical lab technicians, and legal positions – jobs that will continue to be strong as the region rebounds from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Focusing on business sectors that are projected to see the greatest growth in the next decade, the report will provide a roadmap to ensure that our region has the educated and skilled workforce to meet the needs of those sectors,” said Donald C. Fry, CEO of GBC. Many of the jobs that were identified in the report are accessible through community college and job training - a main area of focus to improve access to jobs and a diverse workforce.
