CareFirst, LifeBridge Launch First Cohort of 1501 Health Incubator with Five Startups

The EAGB congratulates board members Brian Pieninck and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and Neil Meltzer and LifeBridge Health for their collaboration on the unique “joint innovation” venture that has launched the 1501 Health incubator. Five startups from a pool of 120 applicants have been selected for the inaugural cohort at the new incubator for health startups: Live Chair Health, Even Health, BabyLiveAdvice, Pair Team and WellSet. The 12-month program will provide each member of the cohort with up to $100K in funding and mentorship, networking and educational opportunities, and support from experts within LifeBridge and CareFirst. Virtually programmed to start, participants are looking forward to making use of new coworking and collaborative spaces and a medical simulation lab inside CareFirst's headquarters in Baltimore City.
