BondTrue Startup Awarded $256K in Funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF)

BondTrue, a Baltimore County-based medical device startup, was awarded $256K in funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research grant for development of its surgical closure device.  According to Technical.ly Baltimore, the hand-held, disposable device is meant to standardize the process of surgical closure. Aimee Martin, CEO stated that BondTrue received support from Maryland Technology Development Corporation - TEDCO and Biohealth Innovation, Inc., Inc. to frame the company’s experiments and testing to make it compelling for the NSF grant.
