Leaving COVID-19 Behind
Are you hesitant about getting vaccinated? The question shouldn’t be “why should I get vaccinated for COVID-19?” The question should be “why not get vaccinated for COVID-19?” While acceptance of the vaccine has grown over the past few months, public health experts estimate “vaccine hesitancy” in 30 – 40% of the population. This edition of Region On Point includes important information and resources about the vaccine. Hopefully, as issues that contribute to vaccine hesitancy are effectively addressed, more and more individuals will get vaccinated and, together, we can leave COVID-19 behind. With more effective communication and education it is anticipated that the percentage of people willing to be vaccinated will increase. While it is beyond the scope of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore (EAGB) to directly address public health concerns, this Guide is intended to provide links to important information and resources from around the Region relating to the COVID-19 vaccine.
