Baltimore Startup Flave Aims to Help Restaurants One To-Go Order at a Time

Supporting Greater Baltimore’s restaurants by cutting fees, a group of TU StarTUp Accelerator cofounders members have developed the startup app “Flave.” The app aims to boost sales at local restaurants by providing benefits similar to third-party apps like Uber Eats and GrubHub. Users that order takeout from a restaurant in Baltimore and take a picture of their food will be rewarded with “Flave Cash,” which can be redeemed for deals at partnering restaurants or donated to a local restaurant. The app is a home-grown product made by a group of cofounders from Baltimore as well as Towson and John Hopkins University students and alums, according to Technical.ly Baltimore.
